Breathable Camouflage and Breathable Concealer were originally developed to meet the need for an effective cover-up that could be worn by patients directly after cosmetic procedures to camouflage the signs of the intervention and promote a quick and comfortable recovery.
Previously, all applications for post-procedure skin care consisted of clear, petroleum-based products whose only function was to stop the skin from drying out. These petroleum-based products wereocclusive, comedogenic and offered no camouflage or therapeutic effect.
Lycogel® dramatically changed this and offered the only gel based cosmetic products that could be applied directly to the skin immediately after plastic surgery, laser, cosmetic injections and other result oriented procedures. Not long after the introduction of Breathable Camouflage and Breathable Concealer did feedback start coming in from physicians that their patients were returning to purchase more of the Lycogel® products, not because their skin had not yet recovered from the procedure but due to the unique finish and anti- ageing benefits they experienced.

It was then that Lycogel®’s management realized the market for Breathable Camouflage and Concealer was much broader than only physicians providing their patients post procedure care. Since then the benefits of our unique formula have been discovered by many around the world and found suitable for use as an everyday, skin improving camouflage.
Since 2008, Quura Medical B.V., an internationally operating cosmeceutical company based in the Netherlands has acquired the rights to Lycogel® for the US as well as other international markets. It’s FDA certified laboratory employ the finest technicians and equipment to service the markets worldwide where the Lycogel® products are available.
Members of Quura’s management team have been involved with the distribution of Lycogel® since soon after the products were first launched and understand why skin specialists and their patients are so passionate about using what Lycogel® has to offer. It was this passion that fueled the decision to continue when news came that the former provider had ceased to exist.
