Once introduced to Breathable Camouflage and Concealer you will want to continue with it as your everyday foundation - it is simply that good.It seems a bit pointless to spend money on good skincare products with active ingredients or having expensive treatments done in a clinic, and then wear make-up which suffocates the skin for 12-14 hrs a day. Lycogel works with the ingredients in your skincare and enhances their performance so that there is no interference with the natural daily functions of your skin’s anti-ageing and regeneration process.
You may walk away from the beach with a suntan, but that's not all you're getting. Excessive sun exposure is responsible for most of the sun damage associated with aging skin. This sun damage accumulates slowly over time and starts at an early age. While some of the sun damage is merely cosmetic, other effects, such as skin cancer, are more serious
Treatment for sun damaged skin depends on which symptoms are present. Most patients are able to treat mild sunburns with over-the-counter products like aloe or creams. Cosmetic symptoms like fine lines, wrinkles, age spots, etc. may require laser resurfacing, intense pulsed light therapies, chemical peels and other cosmetic treatments.
Lycogel is safe to use on all varieties of sun damage such as Uneven pigmentation, Age spots, Solar lentigines , Solar elastosis, Melasma, Poikiloderma, Actinic keratosis, Lentigo maligna, etc…
Lycogel will give you excellent coverage with many active ingredients to help the skin regenerate as well as SPF 30 sun protection on a daily basis.
Birthmarks are coloured skin areas that either are present at birth or develop shortly after birth. Birthmarks can be many different colours, including brown, tan, black, pale blue, pink, white, red, or purple. Some birthmarks are only colorations of the surface of the skin; others are raised above the surface of the skin or extend into the tissues under the skin.
Many birthmarks fade over time and require no treatment. Some birthmarks, such as cafe-au-lait and mongolian spots usually do not fade—however, they do not need treatment. Other birthmarks, such as certain hemangiomas, may need treatment.
Fortunately, new laser and IPLTM-based therapies are allowing physicians to successfully treat many types of unsightly birthmarks and pigmentation simply and non-invasively. It's important that prospective patients consult with a physician to determine the most appropriate treatment.
If a birthmark develops in an area that makes you self-conscious, Lycogel can safely be used to cover it. Lycogel is hypo allergenic with soothing ingredients that will not irritate the area, and provides you with the added benefit of being water and transfer resistant as well as giving excellent SPF 30 sun protection.
Dark circles under the eyes tend to age us more than wrinkles or grey hair. Discoloration of the under-eye skin affects many of us from time to time. For others, the dark circles can persist as a long-term feature. Whatever the cause, you can still minimize the appearance of dark circles under your eyes; in some cases, you'll even be able to remove the circles completely.
Assess the cause of your black circles before attempting to remedy them. If you need to seek treatment for an underlying health condition, this needs to be your first priority. If having dark circles under your eyes is something that is prolonged and not just the result of overdoing things the night before, consider seeing a doctor to discuss the possible causes. Some things that might be causing your under-eye discoloration include:
Allergies, Gluten intolerance, Build-up of inadequate sleep, Nasal congestion, Pigmentation irregularities, Sun exposure, Thinning of skin from age, Poor nutrition, Excess alcohol consumption, Too many caffeinated drinks, Cigarette smoking, Lack of exercise, Heredity

There are different causes for uneven skin tone, both internal and environmental.
Treatments also vary widely; depending on the cause, severity and location of the patchy discoloration (although most cases of uneven skin tone happen in the face).
Uneven skin tone can occur for many reasons most of which are either due to hormonal changes, especially during pregnancy or in certain women taking birth control pills or a physical reaction to light. The most well-known reasons are (1) uneven build-up of Melanin. Melanin build-up in uneven quantity and places is usually the reason for the patchy brown appearance, or (2) lack of sebum production. Oily skin is more prone to uneven pigmentation because of lack of sebum (oily matter secreted by glands in the skin). Less sebum means that cells don't bind well to each other, resulting in uneven patches that feel rough to the touch and often look like cracked skin.
The first step in dealing with uneven skin tone is to ensure proper skin protection. Even in areas that are already uneven, sunlight can still cause more damage and make it harder for creams or exfoliation to work properly. Exfoliate skin regularly.
More serious cases may require the help of a professional. Microdermabrasion, glycolic peels and intense pulse light can all remove dead layers of skin, clearing pigmentation and helping skin regenerate.
Lycogel breathable Camouflage and Concealer contains LYCO-Complex™ a carefully balanced set of clinically proven bioactive ingredients that work synergistically to improve the condition of the skin. Lycogel offers you excellent long lasting daily coverage which will leave your skin looking flawless without being thick or heavy. Lycogel is water and transfer resistant and protects your skin from further sun damage with SPF 30.
A scar is a result of the body's patch up reaction after injury on many tissues.
Any injury does not become a scar until the wound has completely healed; this can take many months, or years in the worst pathological cases like keloids. Redness that often follows an injury to the skin is not a scar, and is generally not permanent The time it takes for this redness to dissipate may, however, range from a few days to, in some serious and rare cases, a few years.
Scars form differently based on the location of the injury on the body and the age of the person who was injured. Hypertrophic scars occur when the body overproduces collagen, which causes the scar to be raised above the surrounding skin. An atrophic scar takes the form of a sunken recess in the skin, which has a pitted appearance.
Lycogel Breathable Camouflage and Concealer offers you the perfect solution to be used on a skin just recently injured. Not only will it conceal the area, but it will provide sun protection as well as assist in the healing process.
If the scarred area is fairly flat Lycogel is able to give the skin an even tone and as such camouflage and conceal the scarred area.
It is important to note that Lycogel Breathable Camouflage and Concealer will not completely hide Hypertrophic and Atrophic scarring. It can only even out the appearance of these scars.
Tattoos can generally be very difficult to conceal. Lycogel was originally designed to camouflage areas where tattoos have been removed and to assist in the healing process. We have however discovered that Lycogel offers very good camouflage on many different tattoos. If you have to cover a tattoo on the face then your best option is using Lycogel with its breathable benefits giving you excellent cover, sun protection, and as well as being water and transfer resistant it will also not interfere with the function of the skin or skin care products you use. Please refer to the tattoo removal information under our post procedure section.
Stretch marks (technically called striae) are also a form of scarring. These are caused when the skin is stretched rapidly (for instance during pregnancy, significant weight gain or adolescent growth spurts), or when skin is put under tension during the healing process, (usually near joints). This type of scar usually improves in appearance after a few years.
If you are currently having treatments to treat stretch marks then Lycogel is the perfect solution for camouflaging the area whilst assisting in the healing process. Lycogel also offers you the added benefit of being transfer and water resistant.
